A PHOTOGRAPHER’S DREAM LOCATION
Mason Creek Flower Farm has quickly become a favorite backdrop for photographers in the Boise area. Be sure to book a time slot through their website! Fees start at $65 an hour which is truly affordable and worth it. Whether it’s family photos, engagement sessions, senior portraits, or just snapping some Instagram-worthy shots, the fields are filled with natural charm. For the best results, wear soft, neutral colors or flowy dresses that complement the flowers instead of competing with them. A wide-brimmed hat, a picnic blanket, or even a mason jar vase makes a perfect prop for photos.
ANIMALS ON THE FARM
What would a farm be without barn cats, chickens, a turkey, and a peacock? Not to mention all the bugs that keeps boys entertained. My son loves visiting the farm and having a little conversation with the turkey and giving a few snuggles to the cats. This farm has a little bit of everything to keep the whole family entertained long enough for mom to put together a beautiful bouquet.
OTHER THINGS TO KNOW
The Mason Creek Flower Farm holds regular workshops and collaborations on the property including yoga, dried wreath workshops, floral pumpkin workshops, and DIY landscaping. They also have a bouquet subscription from June- September if you don’t have the time to cut your own flowers. You can also find products for sale inside the barn (think tees, hats, dried flower bundles, and wreaths).
